Wed 14th Aug 2019 Still studying Udemy Course: Learn Javascript/Wrote 2 x short QB64 programs

5 AM AWOKE/STARTED STUDYING UDEMY COURSE: LEARN JAVASCRIPT FULL STACK FROM SCRATCH

Came over to the computer to go and study the Udemy course I brought online, yesterday.

https://www.udemy.com/learn-javascript-full-stack-from-scratch/learn/lecture/13261090#overview

Most courses, I buy/and, never return to...that is to say, I don't even 'start'...; at least, this one I can claim to have started. Currently, I'm at: Section 2/Chapter 4: Objects.

I do recall experimenting with creating my own Javascript Maths object; and, adding functions to it: add()/subtract()/divide()/multiply()/exponent(); then, I tested the code works inside of my own Chrome based web browser; the end result of which was, yes, the code does work. Still thinking about how to improve this code, though...; maybe, adding a calculator UI/user interface?

Later on, during the evening...I got up to Section 2/Chapter 5: Arrays. I think, that's where my learning may have stopped. In fact, I've already forgotten the information concerning arrays...will need to replay that video back, again, going from the 'start'.

CONCLUSION

I spent the day either catching up on sleep; or else, when awake...then, my time was mostly spent doing 'web surfing'...trying my best to get on with studying the Javascript course, which I had already mentioned right at the very beginning of this post...but, wasn't able to get too far...as my attention kept on getting completely distracted by looking at 'other' YouTube learning/or, entertainment videos.

Trying to think what other YouTube learning videos did I look at...

1> SQL; I downloaded the page...only I didn't even start studying that one...the video said 4+ hours long; and, I just wasn't quite ready to pay full attention, yet.

2> Firebase, I watched maybe a quarter/or, half-way; then, it got too confusing -(watching it/is not doing it 'hands on')- and, so, I quit.

3> BT answer machine/phones. I was thinking of buying one of these/or, even a set...; I even went to both eBay/Amazon web sites to go check out seeing the prices; but, I really wasn't sure exactly which model to buy.../or, if I should buy 1 phone(main)/two(bedroom)/or, three(downstairs)? Anyway, I did a YouTube video search to find out what the 'newest' phone features are...learning about such things as: big button/amplify/call monitoring/nuisance call blocking/call recording/how to operate the answer machine/remote checking of calls/-etc. I was impressed with all of these 'new' features; but, still confused as to the really wide range of phones that it's possible to select from.

NOTE: Apart from BT...I'm also considering buying from other phone makers such as: Panasonic; this is because I'm not with BT/instead, my phone company is called: TalkTalk.

4> I also looked into VR/Virtual Reality headsets...which can be used with mobile phone software. I need to buy a mobile phone rather desperately because I have none at the moment. I was surprised that the VR headset costs something like around just £20.00.
