04:25 AM WORKING ON CREATING/BUILDING WEB PAGES

Was watching a YouTube web development tutorial video...where the guy: Jake Wright, claimed he could teach someone to build a web site in only just 12 minutes...using a mixture of both: HTML/CSS...so, I decided to watch.

Learn CSS in 12 Minutes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0afZj1G0BIE

Having witnessed seeing his rather brilliant example video/and, the web site he created; though simple...yet, I thought it was extremely effective.

Next, I decided to give myself the challenge...of re-creating what he had built...working only from memory alone of the code I seen displayed inside of his video.

So, I hopped over to JSFiddle.net to go and have a play; (by using JSFiddle...it would be possible for me to 'share' the code with others, afterwards).

Unfortunately, I didn't bother to 'sign in' to JSFiddle.net...which I should have done straight from the start. Instead, I only choose to 'sign in' when my code was already done; only, now, I found that I couldn't 'copy and paste' the code I'd written...because my web browser [<< Back] button had, all of a sudden, stopped working...?!

Then, I realised that all I had left as proof that I'd written the code was an MS Paint screen shot I had previously taken as I worked. It was possible to rather painstakingly recreate the same code by copy-typing it all out...line by line....following all that was seen inside of the screenshot.

I built this web page template...which went through multiple different variations. One could experiment with creating different variations all day/night long, in fact; at some point, it's just got to stop!

Decided to end my rounds of experimentation after creating this personal web page...

NOTE: I did have some problems getting the above site to be 'responsive'...; this is a very important subject which I still need to work on learning.

05:30 AM THINKING ABOUT COLLECTING MY REPAIRED BIKE FROM BRIXON HALFORDS

Yesterday, Sunday, I checked my answer machine for messages; and, it said a message was left sometime during Saturday...saying, I should come and collect my repaired bike from Brixton Halfords; the cost would be £76.49.

At the same time, British Gas sent me an electric bill reminder stating that I've been late in making my regular fortnightly payments of £5x.xx.

So, I'm really not too sure about which of these bills I will try and tackle, first.

Anyway, right now, I'm feeling really tired...and, just wish to retire off to bed.

5 PM WENT AND COLLECTED MY BIKE FROM BRIXTON HALFORDS

My original intention was to go and visit West Norwood post office; only when I arrived there they were already closed; I didn't realise it was Bank Holiday!

Afterwards, because it was such a nice hot sunny day...I decided why not 'walk' down to Brixton Halfords. I took the route of cutting across Brockwell Park in Herne Hill...then, coming out on the Effra Road entrance side.

I had take just £35.00 along with me; which when I gave it to the guy...I was surprised that he returned to me some change: £4.50+...as I thought the cost of the bike repairs would be £76.49; as was previously quoted on the answer machine message. However, the guy allowed me to take my bike away same day...which I thought was a bit strange?!

LATEST UPDATE

270819 1:50 PM I phoned Brixton Halfords the next day; and, inquired if I need to come in to pay some more money for having gotten the bike fixed; spoke to Angus...he replied, no; the original price quote he gave me was for customers 'without a Careplan'; but, as I do have a Careplan -(3 years/which is still, currently, running)- therefore, I only need to pay for parts/not labour costs; so, everything is fully paid. Frankly, I feel amazed...that means, both the cost of replacing both the broken derailer/plus, chain...came to just £30.00.

6 PM WENT STOCKWELL

In Stockwell, I went and collected post from my mum's flat; and, then, immediately decided to return back home. The single combination bike lock I had was not very strong; and, I didn't wish to chain up my bike somewhere that it could be stolen. Instead, I decided to ride all the way home...so, I can install proper locks onto the bike.

6:30 PM WENT TO VISIT LYDIA KING IN THE CARE HOME

As I returned back home...coming up through Streatham...St Leonard's Church; I decided why not go and visit seeing, Lydia King...who is a childhood family friend...now, old/and, in fact, completely 'paralysed'...she lives inside of a care home that is just off to the side of St Leonard's Church.

I went into the care home; and, after signing the visitor book; I went and spoke to Lydia for around 15 minutes long; then, afterwards, left her to sleep.

7 PM SHOPPED STREATHAM ALDI

Inside of Aldi Superstore...I brought...

1 x bag of potatoes £1.69
1 x tub of butter £1.25
1 x packet of extra strong mints £1.69
Total: £3.79
...then, when I realised that pair of 2 plastic bags I had brought along inside of my packet couldn't really handle the weight; I went and brought another plastic bag...
1 x plastic shopping bag £0.09p

...came back home...taking the 'short cut' way...going across the pedestrian crossing from Streatham train station; then, went down the staircase.

8 PM SHOPPED AT ICELAND

Inside of West Norwood Iceland Superstore...I brought...

1 x box of 4 ice cream lollies...costing just £1.00.

-(It was a slightly embarrassing incident when I tried to pay the £1.00 using 2 different debit cards; and, both returned the same message back saying: 'unauthorised'; this is because I have no money left on either of these accounts. So, instead, I was forced into paying cash...luckily enough I had just a single £1.00 coin left inside of my trouser pocket.)-
