Fri 9th August 2019 New debit card/Lil Sullivan house/National Portrait Gallery/McDonald's/Burger King

5 AM AWOKE

I awoke really early...because I remember being up at around 5 AM.

6 AM COLLECTED METRO NEWSPAPER

I went and dumped some rubbish down the road; then, afterwards, collected a FREE Metro newspaper from West Norwood train station.

10:00 AM VISITED ROSEBERY'S AUCTION HOUSE TO COLLECT SOME FREE CATALOGUES

Went down to my local auction house Rosebery's to collect some FREE Auction Catalogues for artist: Lil Sullivan to use to create collages with.

10:30 AM VISITED CLOSEST EMMEAUS  CHARITY SHOP TO DO DELIVERY

I went down to Emmeaus charity shop; there I delivered...

2 x bags of newspapers (for them to use as wrapping papers)
1 x bag of videos
4 x Music LP's
2 x Paperback books (forgot exact title - Maggie Thatcher related + Evil Knivel/I wasn't reading either book...so, gave them up)

10:45 AM VISITED THE FURTHEST EMMEAUS BRANCH

Delivered Videos to them; as the first shop said I should deliver it there, instead.

10:50 AM VISITED THE SIDE OF PORTICO GALLERY

At the side of Portico Gallery...I saw a boxing bag. I was thinking about taking boxing lessons there...; but, at £10.00 a throw...figured I can't quite afford it...?!

11 AM VISITED WEST NORWOOD LOCAL ELECTRONICS SHOP...NEAR COOP...ASKING THEM TO FIX MY iPAD 4

The guy explained that he thinks the reason why the iPad isn't charging anymore...is due to the battery having run out...and, it would cost £45.00 to fix it. I told him, have a look...and, if it is the battery that needs replacing...then, I will pay him on Monday coming. I also requested a receipt to keep.

11:30 AM MADE A VISIT TO WEST NORWOOD CEMETARY

Whilst still in the area, I decided to quickly go and visit my aunts grave; in order to pay my respects.

12:30 PM PHONED LIL SULLIVAN, TWICE; BUT, NOT PICKING UP PHONE

When I came back home, I phoned Lil Sullivan...to ask when will she be available for me to deliver the FREE catalogues; however, she didn't pick up the phone...; even, though, I phoned twice.

1 PM I'M FEELING REALLY SLEEPY - WANNA GO STRAIGHT BACK TO SLEEP, AGAIN

I must have decided to lie back in bed and watch TV for a while; before I knew it I was fast asleep.

6:00 PM AWOKE: FOUND NEW DEBIT CARD DELIVERED THROUGH POST

When I awoke and went downstairs, I discovered just a single letter; and, inside of it was my 'new' Nat West debit card.

6:30 PM PHONED LIL SULLIVAN - SHE AGREED TO DOORSTEP DELIVERY

After realising it's Friday, now; I decided to go to the National Portrait Gallery to take part in the FREE drawing session.

However, I also realised that I would, most likely, be riding my bike straight past Vauxhall. So, I decided to phone artist: Lil Sullivan, to ask if she would like me to deliver the Auction Catalogue's as I passed by; to which she agreed.

7:30 PM MADE DELIVERY TO LIL SULLIVAN'S HOUSE IN VAUXHALL

I gave Lil Sullivan -(who was there with her daughter, Tide; at the same time, a food delivery van came)-:

1 x round canvas
1 x horizontal canvas
1 x square box canvas
1 x pack of 50 Faber & Castell Coloued Pastels
...plus, for her 2 kids...(family staying with her)...
2 x child painting set with brush included
2 x pencil sketch drawing pads/(no pencils)
...I also delivered...
8 x FREE Rosebery exhibition show catalogues
3 x Rosebery art picture postcards

After which I very quickly said goodbye and left; explaining I'm off to the National Portrait Gallery to go and draw.

7 PM VAN GOGH WALK/BOOK EXCHANGE

I decided to stop my bike at Van Gogh Walk -(which is opposite to where Van Gogh used to lodge when he was living in London)-; and, look inside of the public book exchange box...to see if there was anything inside there which would interest me.

I found quite a few interesting items...

1 x French booklet containing 2 x CD's
1 x Adobe Elements book + CD
...Books relating to...
- Modern Painting
- What are these strawberries doing on my nipples - Vanessa Feltz (about puberty for girls, I think?)
- What I did - Christopher Walking (A boy runs a cross a busy road./His father smacks him./A passer by intervenes...)

Frankly, I shouldn't be collecting any more books; as I still have loads of library books to read/return (unread)...; however, sometimes, I find I just can't resist it.

8:30 PM I ARRIVED AT NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY/DRAWING SESSION ALREADY DONE

When I arrived at the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square...because the FREE drawing session starts at 6:30 PM...and, closes at 8:30 PM...when they give a group showing of their work; therefore, I had already arrived there far too late to take part in it. So, I just merely stood back, and, watched what others had done/or else, watched those who were still sketching away.

One guy used an iPad Pro with digital Pencil...and, wow, what he created was 'photo-like'. Needless to say, I was totally 'amazed'.

I also saw a young Chinese girl sitting down drawing a painting of a man's head...using pencil; again, incredibly good likeness/wonderful proportions.

However, I didn't stay very long before the gallery announced they were closing.

9 PM ATE AT MCDONALDS TRAFALGAR SQUARE

As I was about to travel off home, it was 'raining', btw; something inside of my mind said...stop at McDonald's and get something 'warm' to eat.

I ordered...

2 x large fries...costing £1.39p x 2 = £2.78
1 x drink of Coco Cola...costing £1.00

9:30 PM VISITED LEAKE STREET GRAFFITI TUNNEL

Before going straight back home, I decided that -while I'm still in the area- it might be worthwhile going see Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel.

There wasn't that much 'graffiti' worthwhile noting...; but, I did see 'one' I liked...a realistic portrait of a man looked like a chef. I think, it was signed: Olivierr...with 2 r's.

10 PM CAME BACK HOME USING A DIFFERENT SORT OF ROUTE

Coming out of Leake Street...I crossed the main road...and, instead, of turning 'left' like I would usually do...going down towards Lambeth North tube station/and, past the side of, Morley College.

Instead, I went straight across the road...as if moving towards St Thomas Hospital...only using the back streets. I went past...Royal Street...Black Prince Road...and, Goding Street/-etc. Eventually, ending up in Vauxhall...near the main station/park.

So, I discovered a different way to get back home. Actually, I may have taken the same route before...; but, it was ages ago...so, I forgot...it was nice reminding myself sort of thing.

(I even rode past an art gallery...; though, of course, they were closed at this late time of night. I thought to myself, I must go back there to visit during day light hours, instead.)

10:30 PM CHECKED MY MUMS FLAT IN STOCKWELL FOR ANY MAIL

Arriving in Stockwell, I decided to check out my mum's flat to see if there was any mail? Sure enough there was.

1 x urgent appointment...people coming to do a survey
1 x Voting Register form to fill up

...I took both letters back home with me.

10:30 PM ATE AT BURGER KING IN STREATHAM

I couldn't resist stopping my bike to go and eat at Burger King in Streatham. I ordered...

1 x Cheese Burger (not sure the exact cost?)

Anyway, I paid using my debit card; so, the price will show up inside of my online statement(if it doesn't show up on the statement today/then, it should tomorrow).

CONCLUSION

Interesting 'going out' sort of day...sort of 'medium' paced. Overall, I liked it; but, at the same time I realise I need to 'slow' down more...study more/exercise more...which I'm not doing hardly enough of.

At the same time, I realise that the Central London Works...offered me work...in Croydon on the 23rd of this month. So, I'm wondering how much 'free' time...will I actually have left...; or, is it all fast running out...?!
