Fri 280423 Facebook uploaded videos/Pra Group assessment/Over 60 Oyster card/Library book fines/Smart card voucher payments

FACEBOOK VIDEOS/STICK FIGHTING

During the last couple of days, I used my iPad to take some 'selfie' videos...of me playing around using a broomstick; and, pretending to do martial arts.

I think, altogether I must have gone and uploaded, at least, 8 videos, previously; and, this morning I decided to make another 2.

The idea behind it is...at least, I'm taking some exercise; as opposed to just lying down and doing absolutely nothing.

PRA GROUP/ASSESSMENT

When I went and checked any letters that might have fallen through the front door...I saw there was one from Pra Group. They wanted me to phone them to do an assessment of what is my current circumstances...; so, they can be sure I'm making the right monthly re-payments...which is £5.00 monthly. In all, I think, I owe them something like £240.00 still outstanding for a credit card debt.

Anyway, I spoke to a female representative...for around 15 minutes or so...; then, it was agreed the current plan can still remain in place...for the next 6 months. If I am having any problems in the mean time...I should get in touch.

Overview | Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk)

I visited tfl.gov.uk web site...to apply for an over 60's Oyster travel card.

The only trouble there is...I don't have...

- A passport
- A driver's licence

...so, I will have to find a way to get around this.

What I did do, today, was to successfully register my interest with them...; so, they allowed me to sign up at their web site...with a username(email)/password combination.

This is merely just step 1.

The email they sent me says...

>>

      Activate your oyster card account
<<

Only, I need to...

- show suitable ID

- pay £20.00 to purchase it

- pay £10.00 yearly to keep it

...all of these things I still haven't  done, yet. Therefore, the a/c isn't fully 'activated', yet.

WEST NORWOOD LIBRARY

I visited West Norwood Library...in order to pay some library book fines: £10.90.

I paid them £3.50...which leaves me still to pay another £7.40 balance.

I didn't bother taking out any further library books...due to fears of running up some more  library books 'overdue' fines. (Somehow, I can never remember to re-new the books on time...; even, though, now-a-days, it is possible to renew online.)

WEST NORWOOD POST OFFICE/ADDED 2 X GOVERNMENT VOUCHERS ONTO DOWNSTAIRS ELECTRIC METER 'SMART CARD'

The government gave me 2 x vouchers each worth £67.00; which where also getting fast 'out of date'.

I decided rather than waste that help...might as well use it, instead. So, I went off down the road to go visit West Norwood post office. Had to bring along ID...birth certificate/recent utility bill.

I'd never tried topping up my newly installed 'Smart meter' this way before...by using credit vouchers; but, much to my surprise, the vouchers were accepted...and, there was no complaint.

My only big worry was...when I return back home...will the voucher purchase show on the meter itself?

However, when I did return back home...yes, the purchase worked. I, now, have a balance total of £393.69 on my downstairs electric meter...; and, all of that credit was government voucher based.

What I really should have done...is add those vouchers to my upstairs 'gas' meter bill...which is, currently, -£348.xx in debit. But, as I already made a payment agreement with British Gas to pay them £50.00 fortnightly towards this...; plus, they haven't given me any 'smart cards' to use upstairs, yet, on both the gas/electric meters; so, I just used the vouchers to cover downstairs, instead.

My guess is, judging from the amount of electricity I use downstairs...which is around £30.00 monthly; therefore, I should have enough money on the downstairs electric meter...to last, at least, around a year long.
