Missing/or, stolen wallet...having to re-order replacement cards

I lost my wallet...Barclaycard sent me a replacement card that I received/the replacement Nat West card went missing/ordered another, yesterday...the guy on the phone said it should arrive before Wednesday coming. I also received a CoOp store card replacement. I still haven't re-ordered an Iceland store card replacement, yet...due to experiencing difficulties on their web site. I ordered both Tate Gallery/Dulwich Picture Gallery replacement cards.

(I still cannot recall exactly how many cards were lost...inside of the wallet...?!)

-----

Koofr 10 GB FREE Storage/saves Facebook data with 1 click

I joined a FREE storage site called: koofr

...they allow you to store Facebook data...by using just 1 click. They give you 10 GB free.

-----

Linode, set a Ubuntu server running...

During the last 3/4 days...I visited Linode web site...where I set up a running Ubuntu server...; which I'm using to learn...

- Linux web server maintenance/administration
- programming: ruby, php, python3, pyscript, vue3, -etc.

The server costs $5.00 monthly to keep it running, constantly.

-----

Currently due bills...

£  29.41 bank OD/Overdrawn
£  82.90 Thames Water
£159.58 gas
£221.81 electric
 ---------
£ 493.70
 ---------
   122 1

...that's an awful lot of bills needing to be paid, right NOW! (And, I'm not even working...?!)

Hopefully, I will be able to negotiate with British Gas...to still continue with the £50.00 fortnight payments due...???

I deliberately left out...

£ 79.00 TV License
£ 40.00 TalkTalk (phone/internet)
£ 43.00 Dulwich Picture Gallery DDR
   ------
£162.00
   ------
   1

The reason why I choose to leave these out is...

The TV License can wait (I pay it one year in advance/so, this is for next year's bill).
The TalkTalk bill isn't due until the 11th of next month (and, can also be delayed for up to a month)
The Dulwich Picture Gallery membership can be cancelled/and, then, renewed, again, at any time.

Wed 190723 Visited West Norwood Library/CoOp...lost wallet/cards...ordered replacements

I went down the road...with the intention of visiting the post office...where I needed to top up my current a/c. which is £4.xx overdrawn.

Normally, I was meant to arrive at West Norwood post office before 2:30 PM...in order to avoid running up any extra overdrawn current a/c. charges; but, as usual, I tend to leave home 'late'...thus, the time was around 2:40 PM...when I found myself being directly opposite the post office; I, then, decided there is no further point in 'hurrying', anymore; because, I'm already far too 'late'...the extra charges are going to stand, anyway; and, I can't do absolutely anything to avoid it.

Instead, I walked into West Norwood Library...which is across the road...; and, there I handed over 3 library books to be returned.

- Picasso
- Portraits
- (Forgot the name...?)

Next, I went into West Norwood CoOp...where I used my Pockit debit card -(£21.xx balance)- inside of their cash machine to withdraw £10.00 cash. Also, I brought some cat food, £5.00/and, 3 loafs of bread, £3.00...with the rest of the money left inside of the Pockit a/c.; now, the Pockit a/c. says something like £2.xx balance left.

It was inside of West Norwood CoOp store...when I arrived near the 'self-checkout' till; that, all of a sudden, I realised that my wallet was missing...? I checked all 3 of my trouser pockets: front/side/back -(I wasn't wearing any coat)-; and, nope, not there...??? I ran back, and, looked at the area around the 'cash ATM machine' I just used...saw no wallet.

I rushed back to West Norwood Library...to check if my wallet could be seen there...no, nothing. I mentioned to the library staff that my wallet seems to have gone missing...they said they've seen nothing being handed in.

So, I went back home...thinking to myself...possibly, I've left the wallet at home, somewhere...; but, when I returned back home...and, looked all around...up, and, down...nothing...?! That's when I decided to phone and cancel some cards...especially, the bank debit cards...so, that nobody can take cash out of my a/c. Now-a-days, they don't need to guess your 'pin number'...; as cards can be used to pay for things/pay for bus far journeys...using 'cashless' payment card...up to a certain limit...such as £40.00...simply, by swiping the card, anonymously.

To order cards to be cancelled/and, re-ordered, again...I phoned...

- Nat West
- Barclays
- Dulwich Picture Gallery
- Tate Gallery

I still have left 2 or 3 card which were not inside of the wallet...

- Library card
- Pockit card
- 60+ FREE travel card

...the only thing that is pissing me off, right now...is I should have made it a point to, carefully, note all cards that I am taking down the road with me...that are stored inside of my wallet. But, because I didn't keep notes...; therefore, I really don't even know what other cards might be missing...I seem to remember...there was 2 store 'discount' cards...

- CoOp card
- Iceland card

...but, whatever else...I'm really not sure...? Nor am I sure, if I had left any cash notes in there, neither...?

-----

CONCLUSION

It is a really bad habit of mine...that when I'm outside -(especially, on a good day...when I feel that nothing is likely to go wrong)- I can let myself get far too relaxed/and, feel just completely casual and carefree...I tend to take my wallet out of my coat/or, trouser pocket...and, place it on something in front...such as a desk...and, then, continue to do whatever it is I'm interested in doing...use a cash machine.../or, renew library card items...totally forgetting about exactly where the wallet is...??? -(An opportunist thief needs no more than just merely 'one' second to strike...)- ; then, if I see it on the desk, later...I replace the wallet straight back into my pocket/but, if I don't see it...then, I might completely forget about it; quite simply, moving on to do whatever else it is I had in mind...; and, thus, noticing the missing wallet only when it's already far 'too late'...?!

Next time, I must remember to, ALWAYS, replace my wallet straight back into my coat/trouser pocket...; and, do NOT leave it out...otherwise, these things can get stolen very quickly and easily, indeed.

Tue 040723 Shopped Iceland/CoOp, PGTB Foodbank, Phonecalls: M/S/Rejoined DPG/Renewed Library books online/Fines: £12.80

Yesterday, Mon, was really tough...as the fridge was getting really 'empty'. Left inside of the fridge was just 2 loafs of bread/and, some hollowed out butter...which I had to scrape hard to make sandwiches using a knife.

-----

However, Tue, my benefit came; and, thus, I was able to go out, and, buy some much needed 'food'.

First, I went down to West Norwood Iceland supermarket store...; and, brought...

- 1 x cheese and tomato pizza

- 1 x Jamaican patty

- 2 x large tubs of butter

- 3 x packets of tortilla wraps

- 2 x Curry and rice (frozen)

- 1 x large eggs (a dozen/12)

- 1 x cat food (12 packets)

- etc.

Next, I went over to CoOp...where I brought some...

- 2 x loafs of bread

-  1 finger of banana's (7)

After taking all of that shopping home...I got a phone call from M...who said they wanted to come and see me in a hour; but, I told them, no, because I wanted to go down to the Paxton Green foodbank...where I had already made an appointment. They replied I should contact them as soon as I returned back home. Later on, when I came in...at around 6:30 PM...they said they would come, tomorrow, instead; and, bring me some food.

At the corner shop, I brought...

2 x Bourbon chocolate biscuits (£1.50)
1 x Fig roll (£1.00)

(...the shop counter guy insisted the minimum purchase by card was, at least, £2.00.)

Kingswood Library

It had been a long time since I ever went and visited Paxton Green...; the first place I went was over to Kingswood Library...which is where the original PGTB/Paxton Green Time Bank office was situated. However, this was closed down due to Covid.

When I walked in...I found through the front entrance gate...I discovered they were filming...; I wanted to ask some questions...but, as they were already filming...I was told to not make noise...; therefore, I very quickly left.

I walked into the other side entrace...; and, met some guy called 'Rich'...which, I assume, must be short for Richard. Anyway, he said that he now looks after the place...and, their web site is...

https://www.kingswoodarts.com

---------

Paxton Green Time Bank/Foodbank

I walked across the road from Kingswood House...where I entered Paxton Green Food Bank. In there I saw many of the old group...the French art teacher/and, Time Bank brokers: Kemi/Alison/as well as, a few of the PGTB members...who all received and greeted me really very warmly/-etc.

I gave them a £10.00 note...from which they took £4.50...; and, then, I took out 2 x large Iceland shopping bags out of my coat pockets -(it was lightly raining)-; which they proceeded to fill up with lots of food.

- apples/tomatoes/mushrooms/cherries/banana's/carrots/potatoes/tin of tuna/5 x plastic food packages that you heat up using the microwave.

...after which  I thanked them and left.

-----

Dulwich Picture Gallery

My next stop was to go and visit Dulwich Picture Gallery...where I hadn't been for a long while. -(Due to Covid they had been closed.)

I rejoined DPG...at the yearly membership cost of £43.00 yearly...to be paid through DDR(bank Direct Debit).

-(NOTE: The cost would have been £45.00 cash...; that is, if I wished to join, immediately, right away.)-

The 'latest' exhibition show was Berthe Morisot; and, some work by those artists who had most deeply influenced her...

- Francois Boucher
- Jean Honore Fragonard
- etc.

Using the FREE A4 white paper/together with coloured pencils...provided for the 'general public' to go and use...; I did some copying using grey pencil. None of my copies were really any good...as I hadn't been practicing copying The Masters in quite a while. Plus, I found it really hard to copy paint marks...using pencil.

-----

When I returned back home...I spoke with S over the phone...; and, they said I should come and visit them over the weekend. Also, O picked up the phone...; and, said they had been on a school trip visit to Paris...crossed over Dover channel by ferry boat/stayed inside of a Chateau/too, they saw the Eiffel Tower/was introduced to French cooking/-etc.

-----

One of the last things I did was to renew my library books online...up until the 25th of July.

However, much to my dismay...I, now, owe them £12.80 in overdue library book fines!

Mon 030723 Missed Ingeus appointment at 3PM.

I recall sleeping 'late'; then, when I awoke...I phone Ingeus on: 0800 020 9989...to ask when is my next appointment; they told me, today at 3 PM...so, I asked what is the time, now...and, they said it's 3 PM! So, that simply meant I was 'late'...and, it was impossible to get there on time.

I requested that they change it to become a phone appointment, instead. But, never heard anything back from them...?!

This is a 'scary' thing to me...; as it could affect my benefits...; with being cut off completely.

Wed 050723Missed St Thomas hospital Physiotherapy appointment

I awoke at around 1 PM...when I walked into the living room...I saw the telephone answer machine light 'flashing'...meaning, I had a phone call which I missed.

When I picked up the phone...it was a call from St Thomas hospital 'physiotherapy' department...a guy called: Mohammed said I had an appointment today at 9:40 AM...; but, he doesn't think I will be able t o attend on time. I should rebook within 2 weeks.../otherwise, I will be discharged.

So, I did an internet search to find: 'St Thomas Physiotherapy'...and, the telephone number that came up is:

020 7188 7188 (...takes you through to the operator)

Mon 170723 Went Ingeus in Stockwell/too late/rebook! Visited Tate Britain, practiced drawing

ARRIVED AT IGNEUS IN STOCKWELL FAR TOO LATE/REBOOK

Unfortunately, when I went to visit Ingeus in Stockwell...; I arrived there 'late' by 15 minutes. They told me that my advisor, Negad, is off sick; so, they will try to find somebody else to help. Later on, they said no one can see me...; I will have to 'rebook'. (They will contact me as to when.)

VISITED TATE BRITAIN GALLERY

I took the tube from Stockwell to Pimlico. Got out of Pimlico, and, walked across the road to go and visit Tate Gallery; where I did some drawings inside of their 'drawing' room. I left all of the drawings I did behind for others to go view. Returned back home...by taking a number 2 bus.

Tue 270623 Duolingo 1st place on the leaderboard/Building a personal web site...

 DUOLINGO

https://www.duolingo.com

I woke up at 00:00...which is the beginning of Tuesday.

The first thing I did was move over to the computer to go and check if my current 1st place leaderboard position had been overtaken; answer, no.

Then, I determined to just keep on studying so that I can raise my score even higher still: 879...; then, hopefully, nobody will be able to overtake me...; 2nd place is: 779

-----

Other things that are going through my mind is...yesterday, I forgot to visit...

https://findajob.dwp.gov.uk/

https://rewards.microsoft.com

...so, this was a really big mistake. However, as they say, it's no use crying over already spilled milk...! Just got to pretend that I did NOT miss a day...and, keep on going, as usual.

I am in the process of writing a personal web site...

Mon 260623 Phones Ingeus for next appointment/Studied French at Duolingo...gaining 1st place on the leader board.

11 AM One of the first things I did when I awoke was to phone up Ingeus: 0800 020 9989; and, then, ask them if I have any appointment, today. Their reply to me was, no; not until next week, Monday at 3 PM.

12:00 I continued learning French at Duolingo...currently, I'm on Unit 50...out of 219 Units...; and, am in the Gold League. I started the day with the goal of coming in 1st place on the leaderboard...; and, eventually, I got there...; though, it took me all day long in order to acheive the same...; working away from 12:00 noon...through to 8 AM evening. After that I decided that both my eyes can no longer continue staring at the screen...and, really quite desperately, I need to take a break; so, I went off to sleep.

When I awoke the time was 00.00...the beginning of the next day...; however, when I returned back to the computer...I was still in 1st place...; and, nobody had overtake my score, yet; even, though, I was only ahead by a mere 100 points: 879/and, 2nd place score says: 779.
