I went and deposited £100.00 into my current a/c.; as I have 2 x online art courses to pay for at the discounted price of: £32.50 each/total cost £65.00.

SHOPPING

I went to Streatham Aldi -(I think, it's called...located at the top of Streatham Job Centre)-; and, inside there I brought 10 x tins of sardines...at a cost of £3.40/(0.34p each).

When I returned back home I made 'sardines and rice'...; the rice had already been cooked from around 2 days back...just wanted something to be able to eat it with.

...so, everything is set up to 'start'....except...

a> I need to send in proof of entitlement to benefits. (Benefit entitlement letter/or, 3 months bank statement)

6:30 PM PAID £2.50 AT EVENTBRITE TO JOIN ZOOM MEETING RELATED TO AUDBREY BEARDSLEY

The suggested donation at Life Drawing London...was £15.00; but, instead, I just decided to pay £2.50.

The bad part about that was...I mostly slept all through the 2 hours long Zoom meeting.

It was an enlightening talk...; so long as I was awake...; and, the young female teacher fairly engaging.

But, truth to be told, I missed most of it...maybe, 1 & 1/2 hours. (So glad I didn't to try paying them £15.00...as was their original suggestion.)

As to doing any drawings...no, I did none. Just stayed and watched the references appearing on screen.

I think, I joined this Zoom meeting...mainly to discover what it was all about; and, in order to decide if I should join any more. I have an open minded verdict there.

Wed 180522 M found my Facebook page./WMCollege/StackSkills/Graze box

10 AM M FOUND MY FACEBOOK PAGE

Yesterday, I do recall giving M notice about my Facebook page. They replied that they would go and find it for themselves...which they did.

10:10 AM RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM COLLEGE APPLICATION ADVISOR/WMCOLLEGE

I received a phone call from a college advisor -(I can't recall exactly which college I had made the application with)-; he mentioned I had applied for Level I arts study...I told him about my previous Morley College course experience: Art's for people with Learning Disabilities/12 x weeks Fine Art Foundation/-etc.; and, his advice was that as it's only youngsters fresh out of school on these Level I courses...therefore, he would not advise me to go there...; but, instead, try and re-apply to return back to Morley College/or else, try elsewhere

He did a quick online search for me...; then, afterwards, directed me to try...

...which is a Working Men's College in Camden area of London...which I, promptly, joined online. Still looking through their courses to apply for...apparently there is help available in terms of grants/-etc.

Currently, looking at the following course selection pages...

What I note about these courses is...

- They are short 3 weeks/5 weeks...(appeals to my ADD/Attention Deficit Disorder...I don't like long courses)

- They are relatively inexpensive...£125/£200 (although, I still can't afford it through being 'unemployed'; at least, it's within my own sort of price range...as opposed to courses costing, quite literally, 1000's of pounds..?!)

Tue 160522 Phoned M/S, Hot day, Visited DPG: The Woman at the WIndow exhibition

WEATHER FORECAST: HOT DAY

12 Midday...weather report says, today, will be the hottest day of the year so far.

PHONED M TOLD S WANTS TO SEE HER

Phoned M...told her S wants to see her...and, would like to arrange a suitable time/date.

M said S has her phone number; so, as S is working...she should phone M back...and, tell when.

Phoned S...told G...what M said.

3 PM VISITED DULWICH PICTURE GALLERY SHOW: THE WOMAN AT THE WINDOW

I went and visited Dulwich Picture gallery...just in order to see what's going on there...?

I read online that the latest exhibition show is: 'The Woman at the Window'...which is based on Rembrandt's famous painting.

When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were many excellent works all related to seeing 'woman at windows'...including one of Piccasso's own 'abstract' works!

There were paintings/drawings on show...including Rembrandt's own 'Woman at the window' painting. Some were ancient Greek pottery/others were sculptures/as well as, modern art examples/others were photographs/-etc.

DULWICH PICTURE GALLERY OUTSIDE GROUNDS

After DPG had closed...I went outside and saw 3 x very large tapestries.

Next, I decided to take a rest...by sitting down...and, promptly fell asleep.

Eventually, I woke up...and, came back home...did some shopping, first...in the local CoOp...brought Cookies/and, Popcorn/-etc.

NOTE: I promised myself that, next time, I will try and bring along a camera with me(iPad)...so that I can take a number of photographs; and, then, later on, possibly upload these -after editing- into YouTube.

Sat 070522 Visited Cousins in the countryside...

Today, I went and visited seeing my cousins in the countryside...left around 4:30 PM. Changed, just once...at Purley.

Me and Oliver had bike races...he on his smaller bike; me on my bigger one...; and, of course, he won like every single time. My bike is just too slow, I'm afraid...desperately, needs tuning up...unfortunately, I just been far too lazy -and, totally flat broke- to go send the bike into Brixton Halfords bike shop to be fixed.

My other cousin Charlotte showed me how to do Yoga sitting down with both legs on top of her thighs...!

I gave Charlotte 2 x framed drawings...copied an elephant ornament/and, 4 x bird drawings from a Kingfisher book.

Both younger twins are now aged 11.

I showed Oliver some HTML code...how to create lists.

I also set up his computer...so that he has his own separate space/password...different from the rest.

I drew Oliver's portrait...as he sat on a chair. Finally, we popped the drawing inside of a gray cover plastic wallet folder I gave to them. Charlotte, also, stored one of her own drawings inside of there.

Dominic, was away elsewhere with friends. Apparently, I missed his 16th birthday.

Their mum cooked dinner, Italian spaggetti bologonese.

I left there late...around 10:30...with just the 2nd to last train to leave. Had to change at Purley, once...in order to arrive back in West Norwood.

Saturday, 7 May 2022

Fri 060422 Millicent and Trevor visited me...gave me food/£20.00 note...belatedly for my birthday.

WOKE UP TO WITNESS SEEING AN EXTRAORDINARILY BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL DAY...MAKING ME WANT TO GO OUT.../RECEIVED AN UNEXPECTED PHONE CALL...MILLICENT COMING TO VISIT IN 1 & 1/2 HOURS TIME

My original intention was to go and visit seeing Tate Britain Gallery...both in order to see their 'latest' Whistler exhibition.../and, also, in order to practice doing some drawing there...; because it was an extraordinarily beautiful and bright day...; my mood was extremely energetic...as the sunshine tends to leave me feeling greatly enlivened; namely, I actually couldn't wait to get outside.

However, what actually happened was...

I received a phone call from Millicent...to say that she was coming over to visit me within one and a half hours time. To which I agreed...

I started to prepare both myself/and, the house to receive her...both getting dressed/cleaning up the place/-etc.

-----

VISITED EMMAEUS/BROUGHT A 'CHEAP' MILLET PRINT COSTING £3.00

I decided to very quickly go down the road to place inside of the communal bin...some leaves...I swept up from the front part of the house/and, also, empty a plastic bag filled with some overdue food(don't like the smell of food that's gone off to remain inside of the house).

At the same time, I thought to myself...now, that I'm already half way down the road...and, Ive got my bike with me...why not go and visit seeing Emmaeus...which is just another half-way down the road.

Inside of Emmaeus I discovered seeing one of my 'amateur' drawings on sale there -(copied The Kiss ornament)- going for, £4.00; that was a really big surprise to me...as, normally, I don't tend to see that.

I give them drawings...but, then, never ever see it, again...always wondering to myself...what did they did with it...throw it away, maybe...through just not being good enough to go put up for sale...?!

I did buy a Millet print from Emmaeus costing just £3.00.

-----

MILLICENT AND TREVOR VISITED...BRINGING ME BOTH FOOD/MONEY: A £20.00 NOTE

When they did, eventually, arrive...they gave me 2 bags of shopping/food; together with a £20.00 note...for which I thanked them.

They didn't really enter into the property; but, instead, stayed at the door.

I noted that Millicent's hair...was turning all 'white'; otherwise, she looked ok...slim, happy.

The 2 bags of food they gave me included...

- Microwave food you heat up...6 of these.
- 1 x whole sized chicken.
- 4 tubs of mixed fruit.
- etc.

-----

I gave her in return 2 x framed self-portraits I had drawn. One to give to her son, Chris; and, the other to keep for herself.

Frankly, I really don't know what they are going to do with the pair of self-portraits...; but, that's ok...at least, it went to family; and, not to strangers...usually, I give stuff away to the local charity shop Emmaeus.

I also gave them 2 x drawings pads to go practice doing some drawing on...; to which she replied she would give it to her grand children.

-----

WHAT I DID WITH MILLICENT AND TREVOR'S £20.00 NOTE

I went down the road to the post office...where I brought £10.00 worth of Electric...to go on the PAYG meter key. (There was no lighting left downstairs...as the PAYG meter had run out.)

I deposited £10.00 into my bank a/c. (as there was only £2.00 left/didn't want the a/c. to be overdrawn).

-----

SAW MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR, KEN...; GAVE HIM A GIFT OF  A WHOLESALE QUADCOPTER TOY

Later on, during the evening...returning back from the post office visit...I saw my nextdoor neighbour, Ken; and, I gave him one of the wholesale remote control 'quadcopter' toys I had brought.

He was on a phone call...so, I didn't stop to talk to him much...; just explained I had brought many...; and, it was too much...so, I was giving some away; then, very quickly, left.

-----

CONCLUSION

Originally, my aim was to go out...; but, instead, I 'stayed in'...; mainly, because I'd eaten so much...a full size chicken...which I repeatedly heated up inside of the Microwave oven.

I even gave some left over bits of it to go feed the cat. One of the last things I did that night...was to let the cat out into the back garden; and, then, let her back in, again, during next morning.

Thu 050422 Forgot to vote...?! Didn't manage to get there on time...

MISSED VOTING...FOR ONCE...?!

Unfortunately, it was voting day...; and, I completely forgot to vote...?!

That is to say, I was deeply 'aware' of exactly what day it was...; but, my mind was more interested in getting on with doing so many other things on the computer/-etc.

It was only at around 21:50 PM...the voting place closes at 22:00 PM...that I all of a sudden realised that I'd forgotten to vote...? So, I immediately started getting ready to go out...; pulling out my bike...; when I looked at the time...and, it said...21:55 PM...and, I thought to myself...there is no way I can ride all the way to the voting station in just 5 minutes time...?! So, I put my bike back inside of the front room; and, took off my coat...went back upstairs to bed...watching TV/-etc.

This is one of the very few times that I went and missed voting at the elections. (I always vote, Labour.)
