Mon 7th April 2014 was a very weird day for me.
1AM-4AM JOINED PENNY AUCTION SITE: MADBID.COM/LOST A LOT OF MONEY THERE...AROUND £100.00!
In the very early hours of the morning, I went and joined a 'penny auction' web site called:
http://www.madbid.com
...where I went and used my Vanquis credit card to spend a whole lot of money I shouldn't have. I brought, at least, £75.00 worth of credit vouchers; thinking I'm going to win something at MadBid really cheaply.
Hours, later on, I all of a sudden realized that winning anything at MadBid isn't easy; in fact, it's really REALLY hard. Rather like 'gambling' you just don't know who the hell is going to win or not.../nor, when you will win/lose...?! In other words, what I'm actually saying is...you could buy yourself £1000.00/or, £10,000 pounds worth of vouchers...and, still NOT win absolutely anything.
Only when I did finally manage to 'wake up' to having this sudden realisation...I had already spent close to £100.00 at MadBid; and, NOT won anything apart from a couple of spending vouchers...!
In the end, I quit.
So, this was a really BAD way to start off the day.
HAD TO PAY 2 X LOTS OF COUNCIL TAX BILLS TOTALING: £117.00
8AM I received a Council Tax bill through the post stating that I owe them: £96.00(last years bill unpaid) + £21.00(bill related to this current year).
UPDATE: The next day, Tuesday, I got £120.00 benefit money; which I used to pay both of these Council tax bills off.
96.00
+21.00
------
117.00
...that leaves me with just £3.00 to live on for the next fortnight! Is it any wonder, then, that I tend to feel forced to live on 'credit'.
WENT TO KINGSWOOD HOUSE/PGTB OFFICE, AND, QUITE SUDDENLY, RESIGNED...!
1PM-3PM I knew I had an art lesson to attend at PGTB/Paxton Green Time Bank inside of Kingswood Library. When I went there...nobody was around.
Because, I had a difficult lesson there, last week; where hardly anybody had turned up...just 3 people, of which one was myself; thus, I felt it was a personal rejection against me.
Nicole from the office upstairs came down to tell me that teacher Jenny had cancelled the lesson; and, if I had checked Facebook for messages; then, I would have seen the lesson is cancelled. Of course, I didn't bother signing in to Facebook; therefore, I didn't know the lesson had been cancelled, yet. So, I went off home.
I made 2 more trips back to go visit the PGTB that day. Each time, first, I went upstairs and into the office; I took away my folder of artworks: drawings/printouts/postcards/origami; and, I also handed in my DWP/Dulwich Picture Gallery card...which is a FREE yearly pass.
On my second trip there, I took away my Terrence Kelly small square seascape painting. I told them to keep the Key Hayes watercolour/and, also, the 'old master' drawing I had donated to be used in a future raffle.
Then, without bothering to get into any further argument, I left.
Later, I phoned in, again; stating...I was not quitting from the Timebank; but, just quitting from being in the Art group; as there were certain people there who I don't seem to be able to get along with.
UPDATE: The next day, Tuesday, I wrote in using Facebook 'private' messages to PGTB...explaining why I had chosen to quit; because I wasn't getting along in the Art class with certain people -didn't say exactly who/but, did explain it's NOT the teacher herself who I like-; and, that I just wanted to take some space out; after which I'd return.
MISSED 3 X CONFLICTING TIME APPOINTMENTS DURING THE EVENING
All during the day, from the minute I woke up very early morning, I knew I had 3 x conflicting appointments to go deal with.
1> 7:30-8:30 PM Krav Maga, martial arts/self-defence...£35.00 monthly regular subscription fee.
2> 6:30-9PM MeetUp group, Introduction to Python Programming Part I (I'd also signed up for Part II next week monday)
3> 8PM My mum said, a man was due to call to fix the toilet flush which wasn't working properly. So, she begged me to wait until he came.
Eventually, I decided to wait until 7PM...no man had called, yet.
-(
NOTE: I'd already signed in to MeetUp.com earlier in the day...and, told the event organizer, Gin, that I had conflicting appoinments; if she would tell me if I could study the course online, without having to travel. The reply I got back was; yes, you can study online; but, then, I should also remember to FREE up the event space for somebody else if I was sure I wasn't coming. Ultimately, I decided NOT to cancel; as rather than study alone; I wanted somebody there to help me when I needed to ask further questions whenever I got stuck.)-
DECIDED TO GO TO THE MEET UP EVENT: INTRODUCTION TO PYTHON PROGRAMMING/UNFORTUNATELY, ARRIVED FAR TOO LATE!
Then, rather impatiently, I left...decided to ignore 'martial arts' class...as it will still be available Wed/Sat; but, Python programming is a 'one off' event.
Somewhere around 7:30 PM; as I was riding my bike going through Brixton on to Kennington...suddenly, I realised I have no backpack with me...which, in turn, must mean I forgot to bring along my laptop computer; but, without a computer I won't be able to do any programming?! So, I had no other choice but to turn back, riding 3 miles all the way back home, again...in order to retrieve my laptop; thinking to myself I'm going to be even more late now!
8PM I arrived back home...my mum was still waiting for the workman to arrive; but, he had not. So, she told me to follow her around the corner to the man's house...so she could show me where he lived.
My mum wanted me to knock on the door/or, ring the bell; but, I refused; as I figured if the people there were interested in coming to fix the toilet; then, they already would have; the fact that they didn't...meant they just weren't interested.
UPDATE: It, later on, emerged that the workman does NOT live there; instead, somebody else does; who did not appreciate being disturbed.
8:15 PM I rode off to attend my MeetUp event. I was wearing a suit; and wolly jumper; and, I recall it started 'raining'!
After riding all the way across London to the side of St Paul's Cathedral. I realized I have no map; and, can't even recall the correct turning that I should take...; so, I was lost...?! I spent, at least, 1/2 an hour long trying to figure out which was the correct turning to take...asking people questions(a indian man inside of his news shop/a Big Issue street seller/three or four taxi people)/riding my bike both this way and that; eventually, I found it...2 or 3 streets away from Old Street; Skills Matter/116-120 Goswell Road.
Only when I did finally enter the building; the people were already coming downstairs, and, pouring out; in other words I had arrived far too 'late'! I even saw the host: Gin, an Oriental lady...I saw her giving me a strange 'bad' look...which I decided to pretend to completely ignore. I went over to the event book, and, 'signed in' anyway; adding both my name/email. I also went upstairs to see who was left; but, a guy told me that the event was now over; and, everyone was leaving to go home. So, I came back downstairs, and, headed off...
9:30 PM WENT SHAFTESBURY AVENUE/TROCODERO COMPLEX/CINEWORLD...AGAIN ARRIVED TOO LATE!
I wasn't sure to where to to next...I figured there were just 2 choices left open to me...either head straight off home/or else, go visit the cinema...as I pay a regular monthly fee to Cineworld; and, hadn't watched any movies in while...which meant 'wasted' membership fees.
Therefore, after stopping at MacDonalds for a bite to eat...-(where I met and spoke to a Jamaican born guy called, Don, from St. Mary)-...I headed off on my bike towards Shaftesbury Avenue Cineworld. Unfortunately, when I arrived, and, went upstairs the usher said they were taking no more entries.
I went out of Cineworld; and, wondered around the Piccadilly area for a bit. l walked into Starbucks to ask them if there was any money left on my card; they said, no!
11PM TRAFALGAR SQUARE MCDONALD'S RESTAURANT/4 X POLICEMEN ACROSS THE ROAD VIEWING ME SUSPICIOUSLY
On my way back home; I stopped off at another McDonald's restaurant to have a drink of tea.
When I looked across the street I saw 4 x white police men looking at me rather suspiciously; I guess, because my skin was 'brown'; and, futhermore, I was wearing a 'backpack'; maybe, they thought I was going to 'blow up London'! Needless to say, their 'suspicious' look did not do anything to help my bad mood improve.
In the end, though, I decided to completely ignore them, and, just go home; after all, getting into an argument/fight with 4 x policemen was NOT a good idea; I could easily end up either 'hurt'/or else, in prison for behaving wrong.
12:30 PM STREATHAM/SAW STREET WALKER
I found myself going along Streatham Hill; where I saw a street-walking whore who I simply ignored.
Eventually, when I got back home the time must have been somewhere around 1PM.
I went off to sleep thinking to myself...a strange day is capable of getting even stranger...as if there is not depth to 'strangeness'...???!!!
